Head torch in plastic with cable for connection to power supply (not included), foam padding for forehead and detachable rubber head band. Round lamp, swivel head with metal wing nut adjustment. Switch on back with no inscription other than "ON" and "OFF" by switch.

Bit of a mystery this fella as we can't find any obvious markings on it, though Mick Tighe seems to think it's one he bought in Norway back in the 1970's for cross-country skiing. Headtorches were virtually unknown until the 1960's when French company Pile produced what were the first ones for mountaineers.They were copied in various forms around the world though this variety quickly became redundant with the invention of LED bulbs which give much better light.
