Provenance

We'd been wondering who made this rather odd looking ice hammer for a while and then we found the advert opposite in and old Mountain Magazine which solved the mystery. Jane O'Donovan donated it on behalf of her late husband Roger, who was chief instructor at Glenmore Lodge in the 1980's -it's a fair guess that was one of many ice tools being evaluated by the Glenmore staff at that time. It's the only one we've ever seen which leads us to think that it wasn't much use!
