Vacuum Reflex Ltd.
England
There's a company based down in Ipswich called Vacuum Reflex Ltd. that make workwear, amongst other things, and although we are not 100% certain we assume it's the same company that made this camouflage suit, presumably on some form of MOD (Ministry of Defence) licence.
We do know that these suits were issued to Royal Marine Commandos training in North Norway in the 1970's since the founder of our collection, Mick Tighe, was a Royal Marine Arctic Warfare Instructor at the time and actually wore one of these suits.
They were not very popular with the Marines as they were not breathable and despite the cold weather they made the wearer sweat profusely when active and become cold very quickly when not.
This particular suit was donated to the collection by the Quartermaster of 45 Commando Royal Marines.
