This fabulous pair of gaiters are probably more to do with the shooting and fishing fraternity than the mountaineering variety. They belonged to a gentleman called Ephraim Connor who owned the Glenspean Lodge Hotel in Lochaber, Scotland, in the 1960's. He was an ex military man, expert rifleman and an accomplished homeopath. Doesn't look like the gaiters have ever been used even though they are around 60 years old. The don't make 'em like that any more!
