Italian mountaineer, Guiseppe Zamberlan started his boot making 'activity' at the end of WW1, driven by the desire to move from the hob-nailed boots of the era, so that he could better enjoy climbing in his local mountain range the Piccolo Dolomiti. He shared, and supported, the ideas of fellow Italian, Vitale Bramani, inventor of the Vibram, which he incorporated in his 'Zamberlan' boots.
We are not 100%, but pretty sure that these boots are a pair of Zamberlan Dolomiti mountain boots, though there is a hint of Galibier about them as well. We'll check it out.
Whatever the make, they came from the boot store of Mick Tighe's Mountain Guiding business- Nevis Guides.
