Chamonix, France
circa 1890
This alpenstock belonged to Millican Dalton though only the metal section is original, the rotted wooden shaft having been replaced in the 1980's. The metal section was supposedly crafted by a Chamonix blacksmith during one of Mlllican's early Alpine trips. For more information on MILLICAN DALTON and lots of fabulous pictures see our archive.
