If you are looking for a pair of ski boots with a bit of character then you've found them. They belonged to another character called Betty Locke who amongst other things was a Tiller girl.
Tiller girls were named after John Tiller who is recognised as the father of precision dance and formed his first all girl dance line-up back in 1890. Betty came along a bit later (circa 1950) and obviously managed some skiing along with her dancing.
Unfortunately, we can't find a maker's name, but the boots probably date from the 1930's when they were used for uphill, downhill, cross country and maybe a little dancing!
