"CASSIN ITALY " inscribed on one side of plate.On other side there is a drawing of a matchstick climber on a rope joined to a hand indicating how the rope should be held.

This is one of the many belay devices which appeared on the market in the quest for the ideal device and one wonders where it will all end, as this one went out of fashion as fast as it came in. We are not too sure of the era but let's say 1980's. It was a decent piece of kit until new technology overtook it. This one was donated(unused)by Alex Gillespie on behalf of his old mate Mel Gillies.
