We think this belay plate is a DMM ( Denny Moorhouse Mountaineering) Bug, but it's hard to tell as there are no markings except the '2ND' stamp. As it is a '2nd' we suspect they didn't want the maker's name on it - bad advertising! Anyway, it's one of the many belay devices that have come and gone over the years since the original Sticht Plate took over from the body and shoulder belays. This one came from the store of Nevis Guides, Mick Tighe's Mountain Guiding Conpany and despite being a '2nd' there are no reports of any mishaps!
