Provenance

Alvo seems to be a Russian company that turns out these titanium ice screws. This screw has the simplistic and functional design of most Russian gear. The hangar (sticky out bit at the top) acts as a spanner to screw the device in and out. It can also be slid up and down the shaft in case the ice is not thick enough to take the whole screw. We don't think this one has ever been used. It seems to be one that Mick Tighe acquired somewhere along the way.
