Mick Tighe bought these cross country ski boots back in the early 1970's, in Narvik, North Norway. As a young Royal Marine ski instructor the old second world war boots he'd been issued with were 'cripplers' whereas these fitted like gloves and could be used with his racing skis at the weekends as well as with his military issue skis. The three holes under the toe at the front fitted into a standard, 3 pin, Rottefella binding and the several thousand kilometres that these boots have done has taken its toll, as the holes have ripped out! We can't fnd any maker's name but they were bought in a shop called Gresvigs, a large Norwegian Sports shop chain at the time.
