Another one of the many thousands of different ice screws that have appeared on the market over the decades. We can't find any markings on this one so not sure who made it, though it seems to be one of the early (1980's) innovative ideas for dealing with thin ice - the principal being that if the screw won't go all the way in you can screw the hanger down to meet the surface of the ice and reduce the leverage effect - a good idea that worked well until much lighter screws came onto the market, meaning that you could carry more including short ones to deal with thin ice!
