Provenance

Denny Moorehouse was the founder of Clog Mountaineering Equipment, but somewhere along the way the money men got the better of him and he was forced to abandon his own company. Denny Moorehouse Mountaineering (DMM) was his new company and with it Denny continued to produce innovative products for the mountaineering fraternity - this ice screw being one of them.
The Russians flooded the European market with cheap(and sometimes nasty) titanium ice screws in the 1980's and this would seem to be Denny's riposte. It's a drive in, screw out, ice piton/screw, often referred to as a 'snarg' which is the name of the original version.
This particular one came from Mick Tighe's Mountain Guiding Company, Nevis Guides, and seems to have been well hammered.
