Bit of a rarity this fella, dating from the early 1970's when climbers had only just stopped using chockstones, pebbles and engineer nuts to jam in the rock for belays and anchors. The UK firms of Troll and Clog were busy competing in the market way back then and turning out very similar looking gear. For some reason or other Troll decided to make some of their hexagonals out of brass; we are not sure why. The idea didn't last too long which is why this one is a bit rare. We suspect alloy, from which other hexagonals were made from, was cheaper and lighter. Mick Tighe found this one amongst his pile of old gear; another fine little addition to the collection.
