Provenance

Douglas Fraser & Sons were actually an engineering company based in Arbroath, but one of the Frasers, Keith, set up a small textile company along the road at Friockheim in the 1960’s when the original company was sold.
Perfectos was a range of outdoor clothing produced by the Frasers until they went out of business in the 1980’s. It was good, robust clothing with a healthy market, certainly in Scotland, but as with many clothing companies from that era, the Gore-Tex revolution eclipsed them.
Our donator, Bruce McCullough, bought the jacket in 1988 - “My Perfectos jacket served me magnificiently from 1988 until recently”
Recently was in 2020 when Bruce passed it on to us after 32 years loyal service.
