Provenance

Kpok camming devices are/were made in the Ukraine and distributed by a company called ‘Gear for Less’, though whether or not that means less money or less safety we are not sure!
A few of them made their way into the UK and quickly got the cheap and nasty label as they were poorly engineered and didn’t look the part; the wire stem as opposed to a solid one made them more difficult to place as it would bend if you had to push them into a crack. There were doubts about the strength though nobody seems to have tested them and we suspect they were quite strong.
The last info we have is from 2009 and the one we have here probably pre- dates that by a year or two. It was recovered from a crack on a rock climb in 2015 by our chairman, Mick Tighe.
