Provenance

Having already got two Simond Ice Hammers in the collection, we put out a plea a while back for a matching axe: our plea was answered though sadly we've lost the name of the respondant - thanks anyway.
Though dating back to 1988, we now have a lovely, mint condition, Barracouda in the collection. Though maybe not the Rolls Royce of ice climbing tools back then, the Barracouda and the Chacal hammer were very popular, the banana picks being the invention of the era. Though still very usable 40 years later, design and fashion have moved on, so we are very pleased to have this little piece of ice climbing history in the collection.
