A Bandolier is basically a shoulder strap used for carrying things ..the classic depiction being Mexican bandits as we can see in the picture opposite.
The Troll Bandolier we have here in our collection is designed to carry a different kind of ammunition i.e. pitons, karabiners, Friends, nuts etc and is really designed for Big Wall climbing where lots more gear is required. The harness style of this version assumes the lead climber has all the gear whilst rucksacks are carried by seconds or hauled up after. Unfortunately, we don’t know where this one came from. It looks brand new and raises the question “Should we archive it or go find a Big Wall to climb?”
