Founder of our collection, Mick Tighe, joined the Royal Marines back in 1967, and amongst many other things, was issued with this pair of shorts; 53 years later he still has them!!
We thought we would put them in the collection as a wee memory since they are an excellent example of well made clothing which has stood the test of time.
We don’t know anything about the makers, John Hammond & Co., but assume they were one of the many companies commissioned to make clothing for the Ministry of Defence at that time.
