Provenance:
Wee bit of an enigma these fellas as we’re not sure where they came from, which is a pity as someone has spent a lot of time filing one and, it would seem, creating the other. The ‘filer’ has taken an old Clog No3 and filed it into the shape of a Wild Country Rock which, in turn, is a variation on a Chouinard Stopper – evolution!

The other one appears to be a home-made version of a MOAC, created by blacksmith and mountain guide, John Brailsford back in the 1960s, recreated, we suspect, a couple of decades later.

Many thanks to the phantom filer in absentia, he/she has created a fine little piece of ‘folk art’ to add to our collection.
