Provenance:
Climber, engineer and inventor, Hugh Banner, set up his business H.B. Climbing Equipment in 1988 and proceeded to produce an array of rock climbing gear including the Quadcam, two nice examples of which we have here in the collection.

Quadcams seem to have been the first camming devices to use a flexible wire frame as opposed to the rigid versions that were the norm at the time.

The two examples we have here came with a bag of gear kindly donated by Jonathon Winter.
