Provenance:
The Anti-Cold Insulated Clothing Inc appears to have begun life way back in 1956, though until 1962 it was called ‘Arctic Insulated Clothing Inc’. It seems to have merged with another company (unknown) in 1987 and has been inactive ever since.

They appear to have had contracts with the American Department of Defence (DoD) though exactly what they were providing them with we are not sure. There’s a very similar parkha on-line that was used by the ‘United States Antarctic Research Program’ (USARP) down on Bird Island in the 1960s which gives us some clue. Unfortunately we don’t have a clue where this one came from, we came across it without any info when reviewing our website entries. It’s seen a few moons, but we are very pleased to have it.
