Provenance:
This wee shelter seemed to be suffering a little from schizophrenia, unable to decide if it was an emergency shelter or a tent, a little counselling helped it decide on the former with the option of being a tent if it changes its mind!

Big, orange polythene bags were the usual survival bag in the old days, they kept the wind away, but not much else. Neoprene nylon was better, if there was room for two it would be better still, both mentally and physically.

So this is an emergency shelter for two, more often used for lunch in wild weather. The occupants would hold it up when inside, though walking/ski poles could be used if available, and it is big enough to make a crude tent if required.

We couldn’t find a suitable emergency situation for a photo, so the front lawn was used – much to the delight of the spaniels.
