Provenance:
This little bag probably came from the store of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, more modern ‘Gucci’ first aid kits having replaced it. Mountain rescue teams and mountaineers relied heavily on ex- army gear in the 1950’s which is when this bag was most likely acquired. Interestingly, bags like this were often used instead of rucksacks during this era. Try getting all your gear for a day on the hill into a bag that size nowadays!
