Provenance:
Another wee item for the ski-gadgeteer, this one fastens on the back of your ski & clocks the mileage with the little wheel at the back. We haven’t tested it, though suspect it might not withstand the rigors of a hard day’s skiing – ice, side-slipping etc. Ski-dometers seem to have appeared in the 1980s, unfortunately GPS systems and smart phones came along soon after, both of which can do what they do with a host of other things. The one we have here in the collection was bought on the internet for a few pounds as a collectors item, it’s in mint condition having never been used.
