Provenance:
Among many other things, Irene Addie (born 1921) was a member of the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club (LSCC) and very much an ‘outdoor woman’. She kindly donated these skis, along with several other items, back in 2007. They are classic 1930-50 style, each made, we think, from a single piece of ash. As techniques evolved over the years it was common to change bindings in line with current trends. Looks like Irene was in the process of changing the bindings – took the old set off, but didn’t get around to fitting a new set – better see if we can find something.
