This little collection of memorabilia was given to us by Keith Stanley who was a climber and one time member of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team. We just love the hand spliced nylon sling and the Stubai ring piton which is one of the earliest we’ve ever seen – probably 1920’s or 30’s. We’ve taken it out for the photograph, but everything was stashed inside the old gloves/mittens for safe keeping.
