Provenance:
We don’t know much about this jacket as it was listed back in the early days of our website without any provenance, so we are not sure where it came from. We are fairly sure it dates back to the 1980s, or maybe a little earlier, and it’s very similar to the Glenmore Lodge Instructors jacket that we have elsewhere in the collection, though that one wasn’t made by Formula Sportswear, who don’t seem to exist anymore.

We do know that Ashtons made the ventile cloth, though they too are no longer around, with ventile now produced in Switzerland.

There’s much more on the fascinating story of ventile cloth on the internet, our wee jacket remains a little bit of an enigma meanwhile. Any more information will be gratefully received.
