Provenance:
We are a bit geeky about headlamps and bought this one off the internet for a few pounds as it looked quite interesting historically. It came from an eastern european country bordering the USSR, and we were told that it was Russian, though there are no markings to indicate that it actually is. The green paint would seem to indicate a military origin. The leather strap is long enough to go over the shoulder, which would be handy for carrying as the battery (missing) would be quite heavy. We’re guessing at the 1960s for its production, a time when the Cold War was in operation, so we could probably call it a Soviet Era Headtorch!

We’d love to hear from anyone with more information.
