Provenance

Awarded to Hamish Brown. The Great Outdoors Challenge, originally The Ultimate Challenge, is an event which has taken place for many years (roughly 1980 > 2010) and basically involves walking across Scotland from West to East, by any chosen route. It's not a race, though there are competitors, and prizes are awarded to the most unusual, innovative or novel way of doing the 'crossing'. The competition usually takes place in the spring.
