Climber, engineer and inventor, Hugh Banner, set up his business H.B. Climbing Equipment in 1988 and proceeded to produce an array of rock climbing gear including the Quadcam, a nice example of which we have here in the collection.
Quadcams seem to have been the first camming devices to use a flexible wire frame as opposed to the rigid versions that were the norm at the time.
The example we have here came with a bag of gear kindly donated by Jonathon Winter.
